With Custom Shows you can create several different presentations within a single PowerPoint file. With larger presentations for different audiences it is often the case that only a few slides differ for each audience. For a shorter presentation that should contain only a small selection of the more important slides, this technique is really useful. Instead of copying the entire document and then modifying the single copies, you can create several custom shows from the stock of slides in your document. This way you only need to maintain and update one single document, but always have the correctly tailored presentation for every audience.
